Duncan Smith – Local Lay Pastor

Hello, I am the Lay Pastor presently supporting Collingham and Long Bennington. While I was born and raised near Bristol, I have lived all over the UK, from Northumberland to Somerset. Prior to moving to Newark, my wife Rosalind and I spent six years supporting the United Methodist Church in Romania. While I was brought up in the Anglican Church, I came to a personal faith supported by a local Methodist church in Winterbourne Down, and became a member of the Glastonbury Methodist congregation in 1997. I have worked in the oil industry, and as a science teacher alongside several temporary and part-time positions. I am an accredited local preacher and previously served as a local preaching tutor and church steward. I enjoy travel, walking, ancient history and various types of table-top gaming.
