Uniting in Prayer with the World

As part of the 24-7 Global Week of Prayer, a special prayer space was created in the Buttermarket, offering an opportunity to pause, reflect and pray.

Throughout the day, people gathered in person, while others joined in prayer from home, as we united with Christians across the world to bring before our loving God the concerns on our hearts — both close to home and around the world.

The prayer space included a variety of creative and reflective prayer activities, helping people to pray for our communities, our world and one another.

The sacred space then continued in the Holy Spirit Chapel at St Mary’s, providing further opportunities for prayer and reflection.

Thank you to everyone who took part, whether in person or from home, and helped us join together with the worldwide Church in prayer.
