I'm fairly new to ministry but really enjoying it! Also a father to four: Ellie, Olivia, Joseph and Daisy and husband to Katie. I work particularly with North Muskham, Southwell and Sutton on Trent Methodist Churches as well as having a supervisory capacity at Collingham Methodist Church. I am married to Jean and we have one child and 4 grandchildren. Before retirement I taught horticulture and countryside management at Nottingham Trent University. I am an East Midlands in Bloom judge and enjoy exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
My wife Kate and I moved to Newark in 2022 so we are fairly new to the circuit. We had previously been in Wiltshire for just under 40 years where we both did our local preacher training. I was a chartered accountant in practice for many years and retired about 7 years ago. We have a son in Lincoln and our daughter lives in Canada with her husband and two children.
I have been a member of the Methodist Church since the age of 15; hence I feel the church is an important part of my family. I previously worked as a PA eventually taking on a role in hospitality and events management. I am a sister, aunty and great aunty to a very loving and supportive family.
I have been in post for 3 years working a day a week. I also work for Age UK Notts supporting people to help maintain their independence. I am married to Sue and we have 2 daughters Jenny and Katherine who both live and work in London. I worship at Collingham and also love to ride my bike.
