Listening to God

Following on from our GCM, we have identified 3 Sunday mornings for prayer together between 8:30 and 9:30am as we seek God’s will for the future of our Church.

Sunday 26th July – 8:30-9:30am

Session 1: Praying together discerningly: Praying with words.

Sunday 9th August – 8:30-9:30am

Session 2: Praying together discerningly: Imaginative prayer.

Sunday 23rd August – 8:30-9:30am

Session 3: Praying together discerningly: Lectio Divina.

On each occasion we will spend time praying openly and use activities from the ‘Our Church’s Future Story’ resource to guide our prayer with the aim to hear where God is leading us.

Can I encourage folks to prioritise these sessions, in person, wherever possible as a commitment to prayer and discernment of our future. We believe God has a plan for us and that if we seek first the kingdom of God (pray and listen) and his righteousness (following where God leads us) everything else (plans, finances, mission, growth, evangelism…) will be added!
