North Muskham Cafe Church Project

Thanks to all those who are praying for the Pioneer Cafe Church project in North Muskham. The planning continues as we seek to sell the Chapel building and collaborate with the community to build a Cafe Hub adjacent to the existing Rural Community Centre.

Over May and June we held three the ‘Pop-up Cafe’ events targeted at the School Community, the local grass roots football community (Muskham Cougars) and the wider community. This included an opportunity to look at the latest plans. Over the three sessions around 90 people came. We served around 75 hot drinks, plus cold drinks, and biscuits and cakes. Questions and comments were collected which will help further shape the project. Added to the display at the Summer Fayre last weekend, we now have over 50 mini questionnaires completed; it’s encouraging to read that over 20 people said they would volunteer in the project, and others said they might do.

Please continue to pray for the Methodist Church family in North Muskham as we negotiate the sale of the chapel and seek to move our worship to temporary spaces whilst the cafe is built.
