President of the Methodist Conference to Preach at Southwell

Everyone is warmly invited to join us at Southwell Methodist Church on Sunday 23 August at 10.00am, when the President of the Methodist Conference, the Revd Mark Slaney, will be preaching.

This is a wonderful opportunity to hear from the President of the Methodist Church in Britain during his year of office, and we are delighted to welcome him to the Newark and Southwell Circuit.

Mark is also Chair of the Scotland and Shetland Districts. He has a longstanding passion for evangelism, discipleship and encouraging the Church to share the good news of Jesus Christ in every community. Throughout his ministry he has also fostered strong ecumenical, interfaith and international partnerships.

Mark has chosen the word "ALL" as a theme for his presidential year, reflecting God's invitation to everyone and the Church's calling to share Christ's love with all people.

Whether you are a regular worshipper, are exploring faith, or are simply interested in hearing the President of the Methodist Conference, you will receive a very warm welcome.
