Remembrance at Lowe's Wong Junior School

It was a privilege this morning to lead worship at Lowe's Wong Anglican Methodist Junior School beginning the week of remembrance, We reflected on how rock is use to remember as it is so reliable, strong and permanent. We reflected on the story from Joshua, in the Bible, where the people of God were commanded to use stones to remember what God had done for them. Together we built a Cairn to remember those people and events which are important to us as well as those who made the ultimate sacrifice in world conflicts. When we see a rock, we know what many have given for us and also that God is always with us. Like a Cairn, these rocks can show us the way forward even when things are uncertain.
