Green Southwell Litter Pick

Huge thanks to everyone involved in the town litter pick today. Twenty volunteers and twenty bags of rubbish.
Why do we bother?
litter is a national disgrace
sense of civic pride and community
litter attracts more litter
protects the countryside
protects wildlife
protects against wild fires from glass
reduces river pollution
Thank you to local volunteers, Green Southwell, Southwell Lions, Southwell Methodist Church, Newark and Sherwood District Council and Southwell Co-op for the tea and biscuits
